iOS Notes from 2021

(writing this on Feb 23, 2023) My sister Umi and I had an impromptu poetry reading at my dad’s ancestral home last week and that activity inspired me to compile the next batch of notes that I gathered over the years. Link to iOS Notes for 2022 here , and for 2020 here . 2021 01/17 I often — Feel defeated over problems I cannot solve, due to limitations or other underlying factors out of my control.

iOS Notes from 2020

I can’t help but laugh with some of the notes I took for that year. 🤭 Per usual, you can find my notes for the other years when you click on the tag at the bottom of this blog post. 2020 01/26 Cottons of Clouds ☁️ I don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with clouds before. It felt like I was stepping inside a museum and the sculptures were made of white like cotton, familiar and warm. It felt like the mountains of Guilin, tall and huge and overwhelming. I have never seen the wonders of glaciers but I reckon the feeling will be the same.

TOTGA

Go ahead and google what this means: TOTGA A collection of breakup songs lol

Notes between 2009-2012

Holy shit this was a long time ago, adding it in the almost poetry series. I mean, I haven’t changed so it seems! I have been writing the same shit. Not sure where these were originally written, but I was able to retrieve these from catch.com, a note-taking app that shut down in 2013 . Some of the notes were incomplete even! 2009 to 2012 March 4 After us. I’ll weep, you would too.

mp3 player

I remember owning a white colored mp3 player size of a Swiss knife, it housed some of the songs I liked back in the day. The more we meet people, and live with some of them, the more we understand that our taste in music changes in the way we also intend to enjoy it. Take for example: If you are dating a jazz artist, you would be introduced to the groovy world of jazz exploration and you may find slow jams a little bit too lento for your taste. Or love songs that you thought spoke your truth no longer holds true.
